A bridge between potential and purpose.

Paalam is CTPA’s flagship mentorship program, connecting emerging Canadian Tamil professionals with established leaders in the community. Founded in 2013, Paalam has been a driving force in empowering the Tamil community through meaningful connections and tailored professional development.

Each cohort delivers a personalized experience, matching participants’ goals with the right mentor, tools, and resources to maximize their growth.

What “Paalam” Means

பாலம்

Bridge.

Just as a bridge connects two shores, Paalam connects emerging professionals with established mentors, spanning experience, industries, and generations in the Tamil community.

Two tiers, one community.

Our events bring together mentors, mentees, and community members to celebrate achievements and foster meaningful connections.

Tier 1 — Emerging Professionals
Undergraduate students, recent graduates, and those with less than 2 years of experience — focused on building foundational skills, exploring career pathways, and forming early professional networks.

Tier 2 — Emerging Professionals
Those with 2+ years of experience looking to deepen their expertise, expand their leadership capacity, and accelerate their career growth.
